FAQs
1. What is your approach to infant sleep?
I follow an attachment-centered, biologically normal approach to sleep. That means I focus on understanding and supporting your baby’s natural rhythms while keeping your bond, safety, and family’s mental health at the center. I don’t use sleep training or separation-based methods. Instead, I give you tools that respect both your baby’s developmental needs and your own rest.
2. Do you teach “cry-it-out” methods?
No. I do not teach cry-it-out or any methods that involve leaving a baby to cry without comfort. My approach is rooted in connection, responsiveness, and helping babies (and parents) regulate together.
3. Is this just for families who bedshare?
Not at all. I work with all sleep setups: crib, bassinet, bedside sleeper, or bedsharing. I help you create a safe environment for whichever option fits your family best.
4. Can you guarantee my baby will sleep through the night?
No, and anyone who promises that isn’t being realistic. Babies’ sleep changes as they grow, and frequent night waking is normal for the first year (and beyond). My goal is to help you optimize sleep within what’s biologically possible for your baby, so you feel rested and confident.
5. How young can my baby be for us to work together?
I can support you before your baby arrives through prenatal sleep education, and I work with families from newborn through toddler years. The earlier you start, the more proactive and confident you’ll feel.
6. I’m already sleep deprived, will your advice be overwhelming?
No. I tailor my guidance to your energy level, capacity, and current challenges. I provide simple, actionable steps that you can realistically implement without adding stress.
7. What if my partner and I have different parenting styles?
That’s common! I help couples find shared goals and compromises that work for both of you, so your baby gets consistent care and you both feel respected.
8. How does virtual support work?
We meet via secure video call, where I’ll review your baby’s sleep patterns, environment, and your family’s needs. I’ll then create a personalized plan with strategies, schedules, and resources you can start using right away.
9. What’s the difference between your group classes and 1:1 support?
Group classes are educational, with broad guidance and time for Q&A.
1:1 support is personalized to your baby’s age, temperament, and your family’s lifestyle, with follow-up accountability.
10. What if things don’t improve?
Every family’s journey is unique. If you follow the plan and aren’t seeing progress, we’ll reassess and adjust, you won’t be left on your own to figure it out.
